Details on Fires Erupted in Various Regions of the Republic

On January 27-28, the National Center for Crisis Management of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received reports of fires that broke out in various grassy areas across the republic.

Specifically, in the city of Vanadzor, Lori Province, on Saint Petersburg Street, approximately 300 square meters of dry grass coverage was burned in the area of a former bread factory. In the Taron-3 neighborhood, near a kindergarten, about 5000 square meters were affected. Along the Vanadzor-Alaverdi highway, at the second kilometer mark, approximately 500 square meters of grassy area was scorched. Under the bridge on the Stepanavan-Agarak highway, about 2 hectares were burned. In Syunik Province, at the end of the village of Jakatun, around 1000 square meters of vegetation was affected.

All fires have been contained and extinguished by firefighting and rescue teams.
