Kyiv Announces New Phase of War: Zelensky on New Strikes

The Ukrainian armed forces have launched an attack using long-range drones on a refinery located in the Russian city of Yaroslavl. This was reported by Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky, who specified that the targeted economic facility is approximately 700 kilometers away from the Ukrainian border.

According to the Ukrainian leader, such operations are of a continuous nature and aimed at striking Russia's oil and export infrastructures. He noted that this is a retaliatory move against the strikes on Ukrainian settlements, adding that in the near future, long-range weapons are also expected to be employed against both Russian territories and other controlled areas.

Zelensky also addressed the losses suffered by the enemy during the conflict. According to data released by Kyiv, as of early 2026, the total losses of the Russian armed forces have exceeded 145,000, of which about 86,000 are estimated to be fatalities, according to Ukrainian calculations.
