Ararat Mirzoyan Responds to Sergey Shoigu
There have been times and events when we have expected different actions from our partners, at least the steps stipulated in agreements, but we have not seen them. Everything is very relative,
said Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan in an interview with Aysor.am, commenting on the statement made by Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergey Shoigu.
The Minister emphasized that Armenia is not inclined to escalate tensions in Armenian-Russian relations.
“We are not inclined to introduce any tension into Armenian-Russian relations; quite the opposite, we are inclined to continue our partnership normally,” noted Mirzoyan.
It is noteworthy that yesterday, during a meeting of the special working group of the Security Council, Sergey Shoigu referred to the actions of the Armenian authorities, stating that they do not align with the spirit of allied relations with Russia.
He also mentioned that it is thanks to Russia that Armenia has maintained its sovereignty.
