SCANDALOUS RECORDING: The mouth of the Karabakh person... I’ll give you 80, say that you gave 110
The Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia has uncovered more cases of electoral bribery, illegal charity violations, and obstruction of individuals' free exercise of their electoral rights, according to the committee's press service.
"In particular, it has been revealed that, under the organization of a candidate from the 'Strong Armenia' party, several individuals have violated legal prohibitions by paying the rent for apartments of various voters in the Lori region of Armenia.
To evade detection and reduce the traceability of their actions, the group members employed intermediaries and vehicles belonging to them. The funds were primarily provided in cash, and they involved employees from their affiliated companies and individuals from their circle in the process of receiving and distributing the money. To complicate the monitoring of the cash flow, they planned to use Russian bank cards for financial transactions," the statement reads.
Following the incident, a criminal investigation has been initiated by the Anti-Corruption Committee, leading to the arrest of several individuals, searches, and other procedural actions.
