Son of Famous Brand Founder Arrested on Suspicion of Father's Murder

Jonathan Andik, the son of the founder of the Mango retail chain, has been arrested in Spain. Law enforcement authorities suspect him of organizing or carrying out the murder of his father, 71-year-old billionaire Isaac Andik.

The tragic incident occurred in December 2024 in the Montserrat mountains near Barcelona. During a hiking trip, the elder Andik fell from a height of 150 meters and died. Initially, the investigation classified the incident as an accident and even closed the case shortly afterward, but new circumstances that emerged later forced a change in the course of the investigation.

Investigators' attention was drawn to inconsistencies between the son's statements and the factual data discovered at the scene. Notably, it was revealed that just days before the incident, Jonathan Andik visited the exact area of the mountains where his father later died. Additionally, authorities obtained information regarding family disputes, mentioning that father and son frequently argued over company management issues.

It is worth noting that Jonathan Andik is a member of the board of directors of Mango and is considered the primary heir to the family fortune. The total value of the family’s assets is estimated to exceed 4 billion euros.
