Noble Deer Killed in Road Accident, Ministry of Environment Reports

The Ministry of Environment has reported that one of the noble deer released into the wild has been killed in a road traffic accident after being struck by a vehicle.

This incident serves as a reminder that the process of restoring and reintroducing wild animals into nature requires not only significant professional effort but also a high level of public responsibility and vigilance.

The ministry urges citizens, especially drivers, to be more cautious on road sections adjacent to forested and protected areas, to adhere to speed limits, and to remain attentive to animals crossing the road.

The noble deer is one of the important species of biodiversity in Armenia, and thanks to restoration programs implemented in recent years, efforts are being made to restore the population of this species in its natural habitat. Each loss is a significant setback to these conservation efforts.
