No One Has Been Held Accountable: Lawyer on the Fatal Hit-and-Run of a Pregnant Woman

Four years ago on this day, the convoy of the Prime Minister of Armenia struck and caused the death of a young pregnant woman, Sona Mnatsakanian, on Paronyan Street. This was reported by lawyer Raffi Aslanyan.

“To this day, no one has been held criminally responsible, and the case against the leadership responsible for the convoy's speed has been deliberately ‘frozen’ at the pre-investigation stage. Although the courts have twice recorded violations of the rights of the victim in that case, they have effectively compelled the appointment of an expert examination of the recordings made by radio communication devices in the vehicles, taking appropriate measures to locate the recording, nothing has been done,” Aslanyan stated.

“It is obvious to any reasoning mind that such impunity does not occur without cause; this case is the best indicator to assess Nikol Pashinyan's behavior and the truthfulness of his words and actions, esteemed compatriots…”
