Man Opens Fire on Neighbor, Leading to Fatality: Details on Tragic Incident

On April 7, at 16:14, the "Armavir" Medical Center reported to the Ministry of Internal Affairs' 112 operational management center that a 48-year-old resident of Shenik village in the Armavir Province had been hospitalized with injuries and subsequently died.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs informs that as a result of joint measures taken by various police departments of the Ministry, it was revealed that on the same day in Shenik village, a dispute arose among a group of individuals related to reckless driving. During this altercation, a 41-year-old resident of the same community fired a hunting rifle registered in his name at a fellow villager.

Thanks to the prompt operational actions of the officers from the Criminal Police Department of Armavir Province and the Community Police of the "Zvartnots" International Airport, the 41-year-old man was prevented from fleeing the country. The police detained and arrested the suspect at the Zvartnots International Airport.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation. The arrested individual and the documents prepared are being sent to the investigative body.
