Child Abuse Case Involving Stepmother: Investigation Launched

A one-year and two-month-old child, diagnosed with "clinical death," has been transferred to Arabkir Medical Center amid suspicions of abuse by an individual.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported to News.am that criminal police have arrested one individual on suspicion of attempted murder and presented them to the investigative body. Further details regarding the identity of the arrested person were not disclosed.

According to media reports, the abuse was allegedly inflicted by the child's stepmother.

The Investigative Committee has informed Auroranews.am, stating: "A criminal case has been initiated at the Yerevan investigative department of the RA Investigative Committee on the grounds of attempted murder. During the investigation, one person has been arrested," the agency noted.
