Car Plunges into River, Casualties Reported
On May 17, at 07:18, the Gegharkunik regional operational management center received a call indicating that a traffic accident had occurred at the 1st km of the Sevan-Jambarak highway and assistance from rescuers was needed. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
A firefighting and rescue team from the Ministry's regional rescue department was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that a Toyota vehicle had veered off the road and ended up in the river. The driver was transported to a medical center.
Rescuers used a crane to retrieve the vehicle from the river.
