VIDEO: A Group of Women Protest in Parakar

A group of women in the Parakar community is holding a protest to present their demands to law enforcement agencies and authorities.

The women organized the protest in Parakar to express their dissatisfaction, addressing both law enforcement and the media in an appeal to the country's authorities. Participants noted that they are mourning the death of community leader Valodya Grigoryan and will not tolerate the presence of the alleged criminal's family in the community.

One of the protesters stated, “We have presented our demands to both the police and the relevant authorities. We hope that they will listen to us and try to maintain peace in our community, preventing any possible developments. Valodya Grigoryan was our elected community leader, and we are not reconciled to his loss; thus, we cannot accept the presence of the family of Gevorg Harutyunyan in Parakar.”

The demonstrators urged the authorities to pay attention to the situation and take concrete steps to address the issue, emphasizing that their struggle will continue. Following the protest, they marched to Valodya Grigoryan's grave.

It is worth recalling that on September 23, at approximately 11:50 PM, shots fired in Mrdjavank resulted in the deaths of Parakar's community leader Valodya Grigoryan and his friend, police operative Karen Abrahamyan. Another person was hospitalized with injuries.
