Arrests of Several Individuals at the Pedagogical University

In a criminal case being investigated by the Anti-Corruption Committee, Maria Ispriyan, the pro-rector of the Pedagogical University, her son, and Sambat Lputyan, vice president of the Chess Federation, head of the Department of Chess and Sports at the Pedagogical University, and director of the 'Chess' Research Institute have been arrested.

According to the Anti-Corruption Committee, "As a response, we inform you that within the framework of the initiated criminal proceedings at the RA Anti-Corruption Committee, the pro-rector of the Armenian State Pedagogical University and several other employees have been arrested on charges of abuse of office, fraud, assisting in these acts, and committing official forgery."
