Ararat Mirzoyan and Kaya Kallas Discuss Various Programs

In Brussels, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with European Commission Vice President and EU High Representative Kaya Kallas. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.

During the meeting held on April 14 in Brussels, the interlocutors discussed issues related to the consistent implementation of the strategic agenda of the Armenia-European Union partnership. The parties extensively addressed the substantive preparatory work for the Armenia-EU summit scheduled for May in Yerevan. Emphasis was placed on the agreement reached regarding the implementation of programs that provide tangible outcomes for the citizens of Armenia.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Kaya Kallas also discussed initiatives aimed at strengthening democratic resilience, which are key components of the strategic and values-based partnership between Armenia and the EU. In this context, an agreement was reached to ensure the continuity and effectiveness of mechanisms supporting democratic processes.

The Armenian Foreign Minister and the EU High Representative underscored the importance of implementing mutually beneficial programs in the fields of economy, transport connectivity, and energy.

At the end of the meeting, thoughts were exchanged on other topics of mutual interest.
