Ugandan Army Commander's Extraordinary Demand from Turkey
The commander of the Ugandan armed forces and son of the country’s president, Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has made a scandalous statement demanding $1 billion and a woman from Ankara for marriage purposes. The general stated that he is only willing to continue cooperation within the framework of military operations in Somalia under these conditions.
In his declaration, Kainerugaba emphasized that if his demands are not met, the Ugandan authorities may sever diplomatic relations and close the Turkish embassy operating in Kampala. This move is viewed as a direct ultimatum to Ankara, which has strategic interests in the region.
Notably, this is not Kainerugaba's first controversial statement as the son of the president. Earlier, he publicly promised to provide armed support to Israel in the event of serious threats to its security. Official Ankara has yet to respond to the general’s demands.
