Hungary's Newly Elected Prime Minister Speaks on the Need to Negotiate with Putin

The leader of Hungary's victorious Fidesz party, Péter Madár, has stated that the country's future government will be compelled to hold negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to the politician, the reason for this move is Hungary's geographical position and energy dependence.

Madár pointed out that Hungary's and Russia's geographical locations remain unchanged, which necessitates the maintenance of pragmatic communications. He added that while diversifying energy supply sources is a priority, this process cannot be implemented quickly.

The leader of the newly elected party emphasized that relations with Moscow will be strictly practical. He clarified that negotiations will occur when necessary, but this does not imply the establishment of friendly ties. Thus, the new government is preparing to balance national interests in light of regional challenges.
