Hungarian Opposition Begins to Celebrate Victory in Elections

In the ongoing parliamentary elections in Hungary, with 21.54% of the votes processed, the opposition party "Tisa" has confidently outpaced its rivals. According to preliminary data, the "Tisa" political force is projected to secure 128 of the 199 parliamentary mandates, providing the opposition with the opportunity to form a stable majority in the parliament.

The ruling coalition led by Viktor Orbán’s "Fidesz" party, along with its partner the Christian Democratic People’s Party, is currently projected to receive only 62 mandates. This marks a significant decline for the ruling coalition, which had absolute control over the country’s political life in previous years.

Supporters of the "Tisa" party have already begun to celebrate their victory in Budapest. Meanwhile, local media and reporters on-site are noting that the atmosphere near the central office of the "Fidesz" party is tense, with uncertainty and anxious anticipation being felt among party members.
