Voting for the formation of a new parliament consisting of 199 deputies began in Hungary today at 06:00 AM.

At 06:00 local time, polling stations opened in Hungary and will remain operational until 07:00 PM. Citizens have the opportunity to select the new composition of the country's legislative body. The parliament consists of 199 deputies, selected through a mixed electoral system.

Voters are provided with two ballots: one for party lists and the other for candidates in single-member districts. This mechanism will allocate 106 parliamentary mandates, while the remaining seats will be distributed according to the proportion of votes received by the parties.

Five political forces are participating in the elections, but the main competition is between the ruling Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's Fidesz party and the opposition Tisza force led by Péter Madjari. International experts and observers are monitoring the process as the election results will determine the future direction of the country's internal and foreign policies.
