Practical Steps Being Taken Towards Liberalization of EU Entry Visas: Estonian Foreign Minister

Estonia is taking practical steps towards the liberalization of entry visas for citizens of Armenia. This was announced by Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna during a joint press conference with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

“We are making a practical step, which is the liberalization of visas for Armenians, and we are truly putting in great efforts to achieve this step,” he said.

The Estonian Foreign Minister also noted that the two countries have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at expanding cooperation between their foreign ministries. According to him, effective cooperation has already been established in the fields of information technology, digitization, and cybersecurity, and Estonia is ready to share its experience.

“We are a highly digitized country, our public services are 100 percent available online, and we are ready to share our experience,” Tsahkna stated. At the same time, he emphasized that Estonia is also interested in Armenia's experience, particularly in the field of nuclear energy.

Tsahkna added that Estonia considers itself a partner of Armenia in the European Union and is ready to support Armenia's initiatives towards Europe. “We are among your best friends in the EU,” he said.
