Israel to Expand Its Borders by Incorporating Other Countries, According to Lawmaker

Israel's Minister of Finance, Bezalel Smotrich, has announced that political measures could be taken in the future that, in his words, will lead to the expansion of the country’s borders. This was reported by the Israeli news portal Ynet.

According to him, Israel currently has a strong military component and has recorded achievements in various directions, which could subsequently lead to political decisions. “We have accomplishments on all fronts, whether it’s a political move in the Gaza Strip that will expand our borders, a decisive political move in Lebanon that will extend our borders to the Litani River, or a decisive political step in Syria uniting the territories of Hermon and the buffer zone,” stated Smotrich.

The Israeli lawmaker added that steps have already been taken in the West Bank that, in his opinion, effectively invalidate the idea of establishing a Palestinian state.
