Erdogan on Holding Early Elections in Turkey
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced that there are currently no plans to hold early or interim elections in the country. This was reported by TASS.
According to him, there is no provision for such elections in either the government's political agenda or society's expectations.
Meanwhile, Turkey's main opposition force, the Republican People's Party, continues to insist on the necessity of early elections. The party leader, Ozgur Ozel, has previously announced intentions to launch a large-scale campaign.
It is worth noting that the next presidential and parliamentary elections in Turkey are scheduled for 2028. However, some analysts do not rule out the possibility that they could be organized earlier, potentially by the end of 2027.
