EU Calls on Iran to Immediately Cease Strikes: Costa

The President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, has urged Iran to immediately cease strikes towards regional countries during a phone conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. The EU has called on Iran to halt these attacks. This was announced by President Costa following his discussion with President Pezeshkian, where he made a post on the social media platform X.

“In my phone conversation with President Pezeshkian, I emphasized that the EU calls on Iran to immediately stop strikes towards regional countries and restore freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. Escalation will not lead to ceasefire and peace; only negotiations can achieve that,” stated the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa.
