Moscow Will Monitor Yerevan's Upcoming Steps: Peskov
The press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, has stated that Russia has the right to understand Armenia's future political plans in the context of electoral processes, reports TASS.
According to him, Armenian-Russian relations have been formed over many years and have a deep historical foundation. Peskov emphasized that the two countries continue to be considered friendly states, which makes Armenia's chosen political directions of interest to Russia.
He also noted that there is a large Armenian community living in Russia, numbering over 2 million. This factor, he said, increases Russia's attention to Armenia's political developments.
Peskov added that Moscow will be watching how Yerevan's actions will evolve in the near future.
