We Demand Clarification from Russia: Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry

The spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, mentioning Azerbaijan's national leader Heydar Aliyev while responding to questions about Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statements regarding religious figures was unacceptable, according to Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ayhan Hacizade.

It has been noted that such references to Heydar Aliyev are disrespectful to his legacy and the Azerbaijani people. "Such statements do not meet the standards expected from an official representative. Diplomacy requires discipline, precision, and responsibility, rather than baseless statements that exacerbate tension and undermine trust. We are awaiting clarification from the Russian side regarding this statement," the announcement stated.
