Individuals Arrested for Plotting Assassination Attempt Against Vucic and His Family

The authorities in Serbia have arrested two individuals suspected of preparing an assassination attempt against President Aleksandar Vucic. This information was released by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic.

According to the department's statement, D.R. (born in 1975) and M.R. (born in 1983) have been apprehended. Preliminary investigations indicate that they are suspected of organizing a conspiracy to violently change Serbia's constitutional order and to overthrow the state’s highest institutions.

It has been noted that the alleged actions involved the acquisition of weapons and attempts to plan attacks against President Vucic, his wife and children, as well as employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The suspects are now in custody. The materials of the criminal case will be forwarded to the Kraljevo Higher Prosecutor's Office for further proceedings.
