Iran is Determined: The Imposition of Unilateral Concessions Cannot Yield Results, Says Ismail Baghaei
Iran continues to shape its position ahead of upcoming negotiations with the United States concerning the Islamic Republic's nuclear program. This was stated by Ismail Baghaei, the official representative of Iran's Foreign Ministry, in an interview with the Tasnim news agency.
According to him, Tehran’s approach regarding both the cessation of sanctions and the nuclear negotiations is clear, as is Washington's stance. Baghaei noted that any negotiation process requires joint efforts, and Iran is currently in the final stages of formulating its position, expecting to conduct the next round in the coming two to three days.
The Foreign Ministry representative emphasized that the imposition of unilateral concessions directed at negotiations cannot yield results. He stated that Iran is determined to continue the diplomatic path and defend the legitimacy of its viewpoint.
Baghaei also pointed out that it is crucial for the other negotiating side to acknowledge the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program, adding that no deviations from the program have been registered so far.
