Gyumri Is Not a Dump for You, and Gyumretsi Is No Longer the 'Naive' of the Past: Minasian
Sarik Minasian, the head of the Civil Contract faction of the Gyumri City Council, has addressed the situation regarding the remarks made by the associates of Samvel Karapetyan, who referred to Armenia's second city, Gyumri, as a village. He took to his Facebook page to share his thoughts.
"It is evident that those sent to Gyumri are trying to justify their mistake by calling Gyumri a 'village,' but I am convinced that this is engraved in their subconscious. The proof lies in their patrons' attitude towards Gyumri and its residents, which is reflected through the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA). We see rotten 50-year-old wooden poles, semi-collapsed substations, morally and technically outdated equipment, a fleet from the 1950s, a checkpoint from the 1960s, and a restroom from the 1970s.
Gyumri is not a dump for you, and the residents of Gyumri are no longer the 'naive' of the past," Minasian wrote.
