We Are Losing Our Strategic Positions Regarding Railway Management by Russia - Prime Minister

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan proposed that Russia sell the management rights of Armenia's railway to a friendly country. During a press briefing, Pashinyan stated that Armenia is losing its strategic positions regarding railway management in light of the activation of the railway within the framework of the "Trump Route" and its restoration by Russia for certain sections.

According to him, there are forces that suggest that after Meghri, when the railway enters Nakhchivan, it should bypass Armenia, asserting that Armenia's railway is under Russian management. “In our view, Russia will not hinder our regional projects in any way. I have discussed this with the Russian president, and I know he supports all these initiatives. We do not have anything against Russia, but it would be better to have the railway management conducted by a friendly country along with us and Russia,” he emphasized.
