Pashinyan Addresses the Principles of Forming the Electoral List of the 'Civil Contract' Party
Nikol Pashinyan has discussed the principles of forming the electoral list for the 'Civil Contract' party during a press briefing with journalists. The Prime Minister clarified that, unlike the snap elections of 2018 and 2021, where the list was formed by the party's board due to time constraints, a different procedure will be followed for the upcoming 2026 elections.
"In 2026, regular elections will take place, and just like in 2017, we will also conduct a closed, secret, and rating voting process," Pashinyan noted.
The 'Civil Contract' party has initiated the first phase of the closed, secret, rating voting for forming the electoral list. The Prime Minister published a template of the ballot for the first phase, which includes 274 candidates. The second phase of voting will also occur with the candidates occupying the first 50 positions. The voting for the first phase will last for three days, while the second phase will last for two days.
