We will share the $1 million awarded by the Zayed Prize with the President of Azerbaijan, Prime Minister
During a press briefing with journalists, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed the financial aspect of the Zayed Prize for Human Fraternity received in Abu Dhabi.
When asked whether the $1 million from the Zayed Prize had been received, Pashinyan clarified that the prize fund would be shared. “Yes, the Zayed Prize has a $1 million prize fund, but as you know, we will share it, meaning it will be shared with the President of Azerbaijan, so it is expected that it will be about $500,000. The process is ongoing, the money has not yet been transferred, but I am confident it will be transferred,” Pashinyan said.
He also added that the funds would be directed towards public needs: “Naturally, I think about what public need and purpose this money should be directed towards. I believe that when there is a specific decision, there will likely be an opportunity to announce it.”
It is noteworthy that just days ago, the Armenian Prime Minister and the President of Azerbaijan were jointly awarded the Zayed Prize for Human Fraternity 2026.
