Ukrainians 'Destroy' Two NATO Battalions During Drill

During the Hedgehog 2025 exercises held in Estonia, Ukrainian drone operators have, in a simulated scenario, 'destroyed' two NATO battalions. This is reported by The Wall Street Journal.

Over 16,000 soldiers from 12 countries of the alliance participated in the drills. They were opposed by Ukrainian specialists, including service members with combat experience. According to the scenario, one side consisted of around 100 personnel, while the other involved 10 Ukrainians.

This small team managed to take out 17 armored vehicles in a matter of half a day and executed approximately 30 strikes on various targets. A representative of the Estonian Defense Forces noted that NATO units operated without proper concealment and deployed their equipment in open areas.

As a result, two battalions were recognized as 'destroyed' in the scenario and did not continue the mock combat. It is highlighted that the extensive use of drones is changing tactical approaches, a challenge that Western armies have not yet fully adapted to.
