No Easy Opponents, All Teams in Our Group Are Dangerous Says Yeghishe Melikyan

The head coach of the Armenian national team, Yeghishe Melikyan, has summarized the results of the UEFA Nations League draw for the 2026/27 season. In Group C2, our team will compete against Montenegro, Cyprus, and the winner of the Latvia/Gibraltar match.

The coach noted that the team is in a positive frame of mind and focused on serious preparation: “We are satisfied with the draw. We need to prepare well; there are no easy opponents in football today, and all teams in our group are dangerous. We have friendly matches ahead, and we must prepare and try to do our best. Confidence is crucial in football, and that’s what we feel,” Melikyan’s remarks were cited by the HFF press service.

It is worth noting that ahead of the official matches in March, Melikyan’s players will hold friendly games against the national teams of Belarus and the UAE.
