Europeans Will Have to Agree to Any Possible Deal: Macron

The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, has stated that peace in Ukraine is impossible without the participation of Europe at the negotiating table.

“Europeans will have to agree to any possible deal, as it will become an integral part of any security guarantee, any measures to ensure economic prosperity, any easing of sanctions, and any decision regarding Ukraine's European future. There will be no peace without Europeans. I want to be absolutely clear. You can negotiate without Europeans if you wish, but it will not lead to peace,” Macron said during his speech at the Munich Security Conference.

He emphasized that Europe must be included in any future communication channels between Russia, Ukraine, and the United States.
