Malxas Amoian Defeats Swedish Rival

The 37th Memorial Tournament named after Kristian Palusalu has concluded in the capital of Estonia, Tallinn, with the participation of Armenian wrestling teams.

The Armenian freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling teams secured first place in the team competition. Among the freestyle wrestlers, the champions of the tournament include Manvel Khndzrtzyan in the 61 kg category, Arsen Harutyunyan in the 65 kg category, Davit Margaryan in the 70 kg category, Narek Harutyunyan in the 74 kg category, Hrayr Alikhanian in the 79 kg category, Knyaz Iboyan in the 97 kg category, and Khachatur Khachatryan in the 125 kg category.

Silver medalists include Mejlum Mejlumyan in the 61 kg category, Arman Musikyans in the 65 kg category, Hayk Papikyan in the 79 kg category, and Knyaz Iboyan in the 97 kg category, while Razmik Yepr, who competes in the 86 kg category, earned a bronze medal.

In Greco-Roman wrestling, the champions include Suren Aghajanyan in 60 kg, Slavik Galstyan in 67 kg, Gaspar Terteryan in 72 kg, Malxas Amoian in 77 kg, Samvel Grigoryan in 82 kg, Hayk Khloyan in 97 kg, and Aramais Harutyunyan in 130 kg. Yurik Hoveyan in 67 kg, Ashot Khachatryan in 72 kg, and Ruben Gevorgyan in 97 kg became runners-up in their respective categories.

Third place was secured by Armen Sukiasyan in 63 kg, Samvel Terteryan in 77 kg, Martik Petrosyan in 82 kg, and Gevorg Tadevosyan in 87 kg.

A total of 14 countries participated in the memorial tournament.
