Pashinyan Did Not Approve the LGBT Community Parade in Yerevan on April 7: Press Secretary

Claims circulating in the media and social networks that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has approved the LGBT community parade in Yerevan on April 7 are false. This was stated by the Prime Minister's press secretary, Nazeli Baghdasaryan.

“The circulating material bears the characteristics of a foreign information manipulation intervention (FIMI) and is part of hybrid influence campaigns. The author of the publication, Okay Deprim, has previously disseminated unreliable and manipulative information regarding the state institutions of the Republic of Armenia, as noted by both Armenian and international expert circles. The aim of such publications is to polarize the public and weaken trust in state institutions in the run-up to the electoral processes,” she said.
