Indian Chief of Defence Staff Arrives in Armenia

On February 1, the Chief of Defence Staff of the Indian Armed Forces, General Anil Chauhan, arrived in Armenia on an official visit, leading a delegation. This information was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Defense.

It is noteworthy that on October 23, the defense ministries of Armenia and India signed a cooperation program for 2026 in Hyderabad, India.

In December, The Hindu Business Line reported that India has begun supplying the first batch of Pinaka guided rockets to Armenia. Over recent years, Armenia and India have concluded military-technical agreements, the total value of which is estimated to be around $1.5 billion. As part of these agreements, New Delhi supplies Armenia with artillery systems, air defense systems, ammunition, and other military-related products.
