Former President Speaks on Church and Morality: 'Completely Save Us from Misery' - Mirzoyan

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, commented on the statements made by former President Robert Kocharyan during his latest press conference on his social media page. He wrote: 'The former president who served as Robert Kocharyan speaks about the church and morality. Completely save us from misery. P.S. In trying to refer to my speech at the PACE, this individual has simply lied, but in his case, that’s perhaps normal.'

'But I want to ask you a question. Imagine a situation where certain citizens of Armenia publicly call for the removal of the democratically elected government through a coup, and there are also public calls for the assassination of members of the Armenian leadership, including myself. What decision would you make? What actions would you take in such a situation?' the minister inquired.

In response to Mirzoyan's emphasis on this matter, Robert Kocharyan stated during his press conference on January 29, 'The Minister of Foreign Affairs’ statement was simply immoral. Accusing the church of trying to seize power is pure absurdity.'
