Concerns Regarding Power Usurpation Plans: Ruben Rubinyan
It is quite interesting and somewhat amusing to observe how our opposition colleagues discuss why the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) expressed concerns in its already well-known resolution regarding information on power usurpation plans by several clerics and why it did not mention that there are political prisoners in Armenia. This was stated by the Vice Speaker of the National Assembly, Ruben Rubinyan.
“They accuse each other of not lobbying well, they cite geopolitical interests, and they also claim that the authorities have misled the Europeans. However, it does not even occur to them that there is a much simpler reason for what is included in the resolution and what is not: there is concern regarding power usurpation plans because such plans have indeed existed; there is no mention of political prisoners because there are simply no political prisoners in Armenia.”
In the picture is the Strasbourg Cathedral, which I consider to be the second most beautiful cathedral in Europe after Echmiadzin,” he wrote.
