Let Them Be Healthy and Criticize: Tunyan on Free Medical Care
Nearly 2000 pensioners have received free medical services worth more than 500,000 drams, with about 900 of them receiving services priced over one million drams. This was stated by the Deputy of the My Step Alliance, Babken Tunyan, on his Facebook page.
“In total, in just one month, about 50,000 grandmothers and grandfathers have already benefited from the universal health insurance opportunity. These are not just numbers; these are saved lives and human stories. And this is just the beginning. Our hundreds of thousands of pensioners will receive medical assistance that would not have been available to them even if their pension were 100,000 drams. This includes those who criticize us and sometimes insult us. It’s alright; that is how it will be—especially since there are those who provide these people with lies and populism against us. Let them be healthy and criticize. Meanwhile, we will continue to improve this system and, within the limits of the state's capabilities, we will do everything necessary to also increase pensions and alleviate the burdens of our grandmothers and grandfathers,” the statement read.
