195 Complaints Regarding Educational Institutions, 159 of Which Concern Schools
In 2025, the Education Inspection Body of the Republic of Armenia received 195 complaints regarding educational institutions, of which 159 pertain to schools. This was announced today during a press conference by the head of the inspection body, Vagarshak Matikyan.
According to him, 77 of the complaints have been satisfied, 42 have been referred to other bodies, and clarifications have been provided to citizens regarding another 64, while some are still in process.
Matikyan noted that parents' concerns mainly relate to cases of violence, bullying in schools, and fundraising activities. “Some of the redirected complaints have been sent to relevant law enforcement agencies, as they primarily involve incidents of violence and fundraising in educational institutions, which are beyond the authority of the inspection body,” he stated.
In response to the question of why such cases have increased, Vagarshak Matikyan mentioned that this is due to an increase in public awareness.
