Tehran and Washington May Resume Negotiations: Araqchi

Tehran and Washington may resume negotiations regarding the nuclear agreement if the US negotiating team follows the directives of President Donald Trump, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated in an interview with CNN.

On Saturday, following a visit to Moscow where he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Ali Larijani, the Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, announced that progress is being made in shaping the framework for nuclear negotiations between Tehran and Washington, despite the artificially created atmosphere of conflict in the media.

"I see the possibility of conducting another round of negotiations on nuclear issues between Iran and the US if the US negotiating team adheres to President Trump's directives. A fair agreement on equal terms that confirms that Iran does not possess nuclear weapons," Araqchi said on CNN's website.
