Israel is Persuading America to Attack Iran: Hakan Fidan

The Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has warned Israel in Turkey that the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to engage in any meaningful negotiations.

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan held a press conference today in Istanbul. “We express our condolences to the people of Iran over the terrorist murder of its citizens,” said Fidan, adding, “We reaffirm our position against any manifestation of military aggression towards Iran. Military actions do not provide a solution; military operations against Iran could destabilize the region.”

The Turkish senior diplomat continued, “We see that Israel is persuading America to attack Iran. Israel must stop its belligerent policy in the region.” Araghchi, for his part, stated, “We highly appreciate Turkey’s stance regarding US threats against Iran.”

“We are ready to start negotiations if they are conducted from an equal perspective, based on mutual interests and mutual respect, and if they are fair and just,” he added. “Iran has never sought nuclear weapons, and such weapons have no place in our security calculations,” he stated.
