Iranian Authorities Transfer Funds to Banks Worldwide Under American Pressure
U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessenet has claimed that Iranian authorities are allegedly frantically transferring funds to various banks around the world under American pressure, promising to respond to these actions. "The regime is frantically transferring funds to different banks and financial institutions around the world. Rest assured, the Treasury Department will take action," Bessenet wrote on X.
The U.S. Treasury Secretary also stated that U.S. President Donald Trump supports the Iranian people. The U.S. Treasury has imposed sanctions on seven Iranian individuals and two organizations registered in London. Some of the targeted individuals have been named as provincial leaders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), an elite division of the Iranian armed forces, while one is the head of intelligence. The two organizations have been sanctioned for facilitating financial transactions on behalf of the IRGC.
