Gas Tanker Overturns and Catches Fire on Road to Upper Lars

A major traffic accident occurred in the Dusheti municipality of Georgia, on the Jinvali-Ananuri road segment, which connects to the "Upper Lars" checkpoint. A trailer filled with gas overturned and ignited.

The vehicle caught fire immediately after the overturning. The driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has already launched an investigation concerning violations of traffic safety rules or transport operation (Article 276 of the Georgian Criminal Code).
