Accident Occurs on Yerevan-Yeraskh Highway: Casualties Reported

On February 4, at 22:33, the Crisis Management Center of the Ararat regional rescue service received a call regarding a traffic accident near the bridge in the village of Zod, necessitating the assistance of rescuers.

A firefighting unit from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that at the 54th km of the Yerevan-Yeraskh highway, vehicles of the brands “Mercedes-Benz,” “Mazda,” and “Zil” collided, resulting in the latter overturning.

Before the arrival of the rescuers, the driver of the “Zil” truck and two passengers of the “Mazda” vehicle were hospitalized. The rescuers disconnected the power supply of the “Mercedes-Benz” and “Zil” vehicles and closed the gas tank valves.
