There is a Risk that Europe Will Agree to Hand Over Greenland to the US: Bloomberg
There is a risk that Europe will agree to hand over Greenland to the United States in an effort to please Washington. This was reported by Bloomberg, citing a senior official participating in the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, according to TACC.
The agency's source noted that there is a widespread belief among European political circles that the international order established after World War II has ended, and that territorial grabs by US President Donald Trump could significantly alter the rules of global politics. He mentioned that some European leaders might be willing to make concessions regarding Greenland as part of 'another attempt to appease the White House.'
Bloomberg also highlights that European officials are in 'shock' over the sharp decrease in US support and the rapid shift in Washington's policy from a friendly approach to a more rigid and adversarial stance. Some of them have admitted that they struggle to respond to the 'constantly changing demands and threats, which often defy logical explanation.'
