Ktrich Nersisyan Has Donated Apartments from Church Property to His Grandchildren, This Is Not Denied: Ghazaryan

Reports indicate that Ktrich Nersisyan has transferred, donated, and privatized apartments from church property to his grandchildren. This was stated by the MP from the Civil Contract faction, Taguhi Ghazaryan, during a briefing at the National Assembly, in response to her earlier statements regarding the sale and transfer of church properties.

“This is not denied, and he can deny it, or the people who published this may possibly speak publicly about it, especially since representatives of the spiritual council have reported about the transfer and donation of church properties. The statement that ‘the Catholicos has gifted church property to his grandchildren’ is utterly absurd, but we are living in that reality now. We have discussed this issue in great detail during a plenary session of the National Assembly,” she said.

“It cannot be ruled out that, for example, properties of another spiritual diocese could be transferred on the occasion of another spiritual leader's birth. I am not saying that he would sell, for instance, to Tashir Group; that is absurd. I am saying that he might relocate to the New Nakhichevan diocese and register the property under that diocese. This is substantiated by the fact that after the discussion of this project, many priests, both indirectly and directly, publicly and privately, have contacted me and suggested including other properties as well, stating that they have also heard such discussions,” the parliament member added.
