Trump Invites Leaders of 58 Countries to Join the 'Peace Council': It's Not Just About Gaza
The United States has announced that the newly established 'Peace Council' is not intended solely for Gaza and will have a broader global mandate. According to Axios, a senior US official revealed this while outlining the key approaches of the initiative.
The official stated that President Donald Trump has sent invitations to the leaders of 58 nations to join the 'Peace Council'. The council is viewed as a global peace framework, although Trump is prioritizing America's role in the region, emphasizing the US's leading position in international processes.
Axios reports that Trump is likely to address the council's activities during the upcoming World Economic Forum in Davos.
Previously, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated that President Vladimir Putin had also received an invitation to participate in the 'Peace Council'. He noted that the possibility is currently being explored by the Russian side.
Additionally, US President Donald Trump has also sent an invitation to Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky to join the Peace Council.
It is worth mentioning that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has also received an official invitation from President Donald Trump to join the 'Peace Council' as a founding member.
