Macron to Reject Trump's Invitation to Join the Peace Council
According to Bloomberg, Macron will reject Trump's invitation to join the Peace Council. The Peace Council was established as an international body to govern the Gaza Strip following a ceasefire. Its charter describes it as an "international organization seeking to promote stability, restore healthy and legitimate governance, and ensure lasting peace in areas affected by conflict or under threat." Several officials from the US administration have already joined the organization. Numerous global leaders have also received invitations to join.
Trump will lead the Council, and countries are required to pay at least 1 billion dollars for lifelong membership.
