Vardan Ghukasyan Transferred from Hospital to NSS Isolation Facility, Says Zarouhi Postanjyan

The Mayor of Gyumri, Vardan Ghukasyan, has been transferred from the hospital to the National Security Service (NSS) detention facility. This information was reported by his lawyer, Zarouhi Postanjyan, who characterized the transfer as a serious crime.

According to the lawyer, there is a medical diagnosis that is incompatible with detention conditions. Postanjyan noted that moving Ghukasyan to a correctional facility could lead to death, as the institution lacks appropriate medical staff, and only a nurse is present.

The situation has worsened further when the defense side called for an ambulance for Ghukasyan. Zarouhi Postanjyan asserted that NSS staff obstructed the doctors' work by preventing them from entering the isolation area to provide assistance to her client.
