The US Is Not Planning to Attack Iran, Says Iranian Ambassador in Pakistan
The Iranian ambassador in Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, has stated that US President Donald Trump has informed Tehran that he does not plan to attack Iran and has requested that Iran also exercise restraint.
The ambassador made this announcement during a visit to the National Rahmatul-Lil-Alameen Authority, where he met with the head of the organization, Khurshid Ahmad Nadeemi.
The Iranian ambassador also mentioned that around 1 AM, he received information indicating that Trump does not desire war and has asked Iran not to target US interests in the region.
Commenting on the protests, the ambassador noted that people have a legitimate right to protest, and the government has engaged in dialogue with the demonstrators. At the same time, he stated that the coverage by US and Western media has incited violence, further exacerbating the situation.
Earlier, Reuters reported that the US might attack Iran within the next 24 hours.
